July 18, 2026 - 3rd Annual Back to School Event

✨ Our 3rd Annual GLOW Back to School event was one to remember! ✨

On July 18, 2026, we welcomed 33 girls, ages 10–17, from Apalachicola, Eastpoint, and Carrabelle for a day filled with connection, creativity, learning, and fun.

The girls enjoyed shopping, crafts, manicures, a communications etiquette seminar, journaling, and plenty of great food. Each girl also had the opportunity to shop for clothing and received health and beauty items, school supplies, and other special surprises to help them head into the new school year feeling confident and prepared.

One of the biggest surprises of the day was just how much the girls loved journaling! More than half of those who completed our survey named it as their favorite activity. Crafts were another favorite, and our communications etiquette sessions gave the girls an opportunity to learn skills they can use at school, at work, and in everyday life.

This year's event also showed just how much GLOW continues to grow. Not only did girls attend from across Franklin County, but volunteers from Apalachicola, Eastpoint, and Carrabelle came together to make the day possible.

We are so grateful to the many volunteers, businesses, and community supporters who donated their time, talents, food, clothing, supplies, and other resources. Whether you welcomed the girls, served food, painted nails, helped with shopping, or led an activity, you helped make the day special.

Most of all, we loved seeing these girls have fun, build confidence, make connections, and think about their futures. These amazing girls have goals, and GLOW is here to encourage them along the way!
