GLOW (Go Light Our World) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Franklin County, Florida founded by St. George Island resident Teresa Manning after she noticed a significant need for middle and high school girls to have a dedicated space centered on positivity, self-care, and confidence-building.
Founded in 2020, GLOW hosts spring and fall events that connect girls with local community leaders who share their leadership and career experiences, from sheriff deputies and firefighters to entrepreneurs and professionals with diverse backgrounds, giving students real-life role models and a stronger vision for what is possible.
On June 28, 2024, GLOW officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and, in 2025, launched its first scholarship program, awarding three inaugural recipients $1,000 scholarships that are renewable for up to four years, with each scholar also paired with a dedicated GLOW team member mentor for support throughout her educational journey.
GLOW’s goal is for every girl to feel illuminated, inspired, and empowered.
